The first week of Virtual Reality for Contemporary Computing Concepts is done! Taught by Professor of Computer Science Stuart Hirshfield, students in this introductory course are using the HTC VIVE to get a hands-on experience of Virtual Reality, which is the contemporary issue the course ends on. The students have been meeting one-on-one with our paraprofessional student interns, in half hour blocks.

In the first week, we’ve used the VR system for 21 hours and met with 38 out of the 52 students in the course. There were three no-shows. Scheduling was done through a Google Calendar for the VIVE system, handled entirely by student interns.
